1963 pulls hard left when braking

I agree with both of you.
With my '63 I sometimes get a minor pull until I apply the brakes more firmly.
I just consider it part of the "character' of driving a 50 year old car.

I have always believed that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
I am not changing my philosophy anytime soon.

Default Get some heat in the brakes first.....

I drive only the first couple blocks, when the cars cold, with a semi-heavy foot on the brake while in 1st gear. When I get to a freeway, I bring the speed up to about 70 mph, and slide into a lane where there are no cars on either side of me or close behind. When I stab the brake pedal, the car informs me of which way it will/might be pulling that day. That information is subject to change as the day progresses and the amount of braking required. It has always stopped- just not always in a straight line. After many years and miles together, it's just a dance we do-lib
