... then finding the glass and window trim and seals....
when they wanted to remove my glass and replace the seals, I asked about the risk breaking my 'original' glass. He said 'no problem, there is a repop made in Mexico that Is generally available and cheap'. He saved the glass in the end anyway. The seals were easy to get but the stainless was a beeotch to fit though it looks fine now.
Thanks for all of the feedback. I am having a professional and nationlly known Corvette restorer document if it is really a 63. I will post his findings when I get them.

I don't think it would take anyone that important to figure out if it was a '63 vs some other year.

What is the serial # and trim tag info? For a good start, we/I can tell you if they line up correctly.
The OP discounted making the year determination from the trim tag/vin plate in his first post - he is asking for add'l telltale signs...
Small one-year only signs should be apparent though - like the "raised up" area under the door handles. There are even some real '63s that have the wrong doors on them...
Frankie, the early 64s had raised pads on the doors but none had fiber glass head light doors or solid body mts. Depending serial # tool wells and hood wedges or something as simple as the seats not to mention the cluster .
To avoid confustion, it's not the whole cluster or even the individual gauges. It's just the cluster panel that holds the gauges that was pulled ahead from '64 into late '63 models.

Didn't know that - but for that matter late '63s had '64 clusters and a special escutcheon to make them look right in the dash.
I have seen 3 in the last 15+ years that I could confirm have been cut out. I had this conversation with my painter who said he must have been responsible for HUNDREDS of cut out 63's during the 60's and 70's in the Southern California area. He's a Corvette guy and it still haunts him.

In those days no one really cared about removing the split windows and converting to a single window. Try and find all the original 63 split window molding today, I can only say is: GOOD LUCK! If you do, expect to pay a king's ransom.

What's the serial number of that 63 and where is it? ...Maybe its my Vette .....I have been looking for that Vette for years...It also was a Black FI car and Black interior...and left the radio out, never ordered it with a radio..........While racing I would also screw around and race the other Vettes there to pass the time between rounds........
Since my Dad paid for all the Vettes and the rest of the toys he finally got smart and had his name on this one...Walt Sr......

I don't know how many this one shop did, {Corvette Body and Ski Boat Sales Garden City Mich..} a couple of friends....... but it was rare as people could just turn the 63`s in for 64`s...Hell they looked a like

Hi Wally,
Your old '63 is still out there somewhere!!
I have it recorded in my '63 file.
I recorded it as #11,202 - a Black/Black FI 4spd Coupe with Radio Delete, Metallic Brakes and NO SPLIT ! Body #6,233
I don't remember when I listed this car into my file and I don't generally record locations, and don't record names so I can't help you much further....
but it IS still out there with no split, at least it was when I recorded it.
I've been looking around for one of the old black and white (possibly scanned in) magazine articles with instructions on removing the split. I may have seen it on here way back when. Can't find it now but I distinctly remember it - I think that should be a felony..
