1963 convert door panel help

Default 1963 convert door panel help

looking to replace my door panels, but mine, which look original, have carpet from the chrome trim down, every panel i looked at only show a small strip of carpet at the bottom of the panel

any help would be appreciated!!

The door panels in your photo have been modified.

The original configuration has a small strip of carpet at the bottom, as you described.

thank you for the reply's,, im no expert, but looking at the panels, they look like the original panel??? is it possible this was done on the early 63 converts???

Your door panels look like they are original, BUT someone has modified the carpet.

The correct original configuration is shown in Chuck's photo.

They could be the "original" panels, but someone has carpeted a large area that should be smooth vinyl.

Peel the carpet back and see what you find. I'll bet the carpet is glued over the original vinyl.

Matty, how do you lock that door from inside? The upper reflector (that rotates to lock) seems to be missing.

BTW as a custom guy, I like the carpeted look!

if i need to lock the car, i use the key but i never lock it

thank you! I like that look also and just thought it was factory
