C2 Convertible Top Install Procedure
Would any of the Forum members have a Vinyl Top replacement procedure with required tools for a C2?
I have searched the forum but there is nothing clearly documented for a C2.
I would like to replace the top myself.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you can get hold of Al Knoch's midyear installation video, it is excellent. I haven't used Al's video for many moons. It used to be available in VHS format. I'm sure it's now available in a DVD.......
It'll take you through every step...........

Al Knoch has a DVD on a step by step tutorial on how to do a top…he does it himself in the video. I have the DVD and am using it to educate myself on how to do the top.
There are various vendors and brands of tops out there…from my research it boils down to wether you want an original style fabric/vinyl or something called "stay fast" which is more like a canvas that you would see on newer cars.
My 67 needs a top (original is still on the car) and when I do it, I have decided to go with the stayfast for two reasons; my car is far from original and I like the look and feel of the stayfast material. I will also replace all the weather stripping when I redo my top as it is original as well.
Like Chuck, I haven't heard of a brand called "top skin", but if I read you correctly, I think you are you referencing the convertible top as a "top skin"?
