A manufacturer of replica wheels. I don't know if they still offer the knock-offs. Almost every Corvette vendor does offer knock-offs, but I don't know who's making them for them.

I thought Corvette America was making all the repro knock offs?

Ok, that's interesting.
I checked that site and thought maybe CA changed their name. I do remember contacting AF about seat belts recently. They say:
1963-1967 WHEELS
We are the actual manufacture of the these wheels. Unlike our competitors inferior wheels. Our wheels are the most accurate reproduction to the original K. H. wheels manufactured today.
...yet at the CA website:
1963-1966 ORIGINAL-STYLE KNOCKOFFS
A Corvette America Exclusive
... Only Corvette America manufactures replicas of the factory optional 1963-1966 Knockoff Wheels. And now they are closer to original than ever. We enlisted the help of numerous Corvette Restoration experts as well as NCRS judges to help us retool and produce our new Replica Knockoff Wheels...
Are these manufacturers in a dispute these days?
Color me confused.

"There are two manufacturers of Direct Bolt On wheels. Corvette America and America Finest. The attaching hardware is different for each Mfg.
We sell only Corvette America Wheels, as in our mind, they represent the best wheel out there quality wise and original wheel design features.
There are many distributors-- so it is best to ask "Who" is the wheel manufacturer, what the price is, then make your decision".
Did you or that other guy look at the link I posted? Looks like Desert Pilgrim did. It should clear up any confusion.
I don't think your link was there when I first responded. Maybe I missed it.
It backs up that there's 2 companies making the wheels, (didn't know that) but it doesnt really address that one advertises that they are the only ones who make them, while the other just calls their competitors ''inferior."

Is there a difference between Dick talking about the "direct-bolt" replacements and the "repro knock offs" in the original style?

From John:
"The tooling for those wheels has been through several owners since Kelsey-Hayes, Western Wheel, several others, then Corvette America; KMC was probably the owner prior to CA."
KMC was what the original inquiry was about. Not previous or subsequent manufacturers.
There are currently 2 manufacturers for these wheels. Corvette America offers 2 types: 1) the traditional real knock off wheel, or 2) a bolt on wheel that uses 5 lug nuts instead of one spinner. Both look the same from the outside. I think I read a statistic where 90% of the buyers were opting for the five lug "bolt on" knock off wheels.
America's Finest Corvettes only sells the "bolt on" knock offs.
As with any product, each manufacturer claims their's is the best. Which is better? Let the buyer decide.
