Is there going to be a central point for forum members to hang out next week. I met Frankie and Mike Terry last year. I sure would like to meet others and see some of the local cars. I'll be there Thursday and Friday. We are going to Daytona on Saturday.
I've never heard of a designated spot, where Forum members meet at Old Town.
I'll be on spaces 54-55-56, from Wednesday till Saturday, (I'm going to Daytona for the end of the 24 on Sunday). My spaces usually end up being a gathering spot, for a lot of guys down from NJ, PA & NY, as well as some transplanted Northeners. Not all of them are Forum members, by some are. I also seem to be a popular stop among members of the Central Jersey, and the Del Val Chapters of the NCRS.
Feel free to stop by and say hi, we're a friendly bunch! Below is a link to a map of the Old Town swap spaces.
We are back at our spaces 604-606 up on the asphalt behind the roller coaster and you are all invited to stop by for one as long as they last and say Hi or meet others at our location. The trailer is loaded and just waiting till Sat. morning, that is when we are leaving. We are taking in a few things to see along with the nice weather . It started snowing again here and in the last 3 hrs. the ground is now covered again . I am more then ready to go now . See you all there.
I just cleared the schedule to be there Sat & Sun. Will be coming in on Friday from Georgia. Wife and daughter riding along then going over to the beach saturday, otherwise I would be down there fri/sat.
I'll be driving up from South Florida on Friday morning to meet Forum members in order to put faces with names. I'll stop by Mike Terry's space, gbvette62's space, and mark6669's space, and will look for Ara on the judging field. I look forward to meeting you guys in person and other CF & NCRS members, too!
Where is a good place to stay that is close by the event, (like walking distance)? I've never been to old town so I don't know the lay of the land. I'd like to come down as well. My old '65 is being auctioned on the 24th and I'd like to see it. I realize it's late but you never know, something really close might be available.

I stayed at the seralago last year...best price and they still had rooms as of yesterday. It's a 1960's era motel, a little dated but decently maintained.
I am trying the tropical palms resorts which is on the south side of the judging field about the same distance as the Seralago and about the same price. They are cottages instead of motel rooms.
All the chain hotels are full in the area.
the address of the tropical palms is 2650 Holiday Trail. They rate 4 stars on orbitz and the Seralago is 3.
Cars have to be on the judging field by 5pm on Thursday January 23. Judging is Fri and Saturday. Some vendors get there Wed....Everyone who can make it should come, it's an UNREAL meet.....ARA
Does anybody know if they are going to have a day with Corvette Only parking across from the judging field for visitors ? I have gone on that day (Sat IIRC) the last two years in the '61 and got prime parking...

From what I understand, only Corvettes will be allowed to park in Old Town on Saturday. Here's a link that Tyler Townsley posted the other day, showing the parking.
22 Jan check in for ncrs and vendors opens at 12:00 not much going on except traffic jam getting the vendors on the site.
23 Swap meet and corral opens in earnest and cars go to show field late in the day.
Fri Sat Ncrs Judging and swap meet
26 Jan the Classic Corvette Club of Orlando sponsors a wash and shine corvette show opens about 8:30 and they usually have about 170 cars. Some vendors leave on Saturday and some stay over. Al Knock and Keen Parts stay over.
