Took the car out on the highway tonight for the first real test drive after clutch install. I had a vibration problem at about 4000 rpm up, and it is all gone. I think the clutch disk may have been out of ballance due to surface delamination over time. I still have a minute shifter rattle but it used to get really bad around 4000 rpm. I also have a small chirping noise coming from the trans mount area. One of the exaust pipes is touching the top of the crossmember hole. I am going to adjust it down and see if goes away.
I could not recomend centerforce to anyone attempting an undertaking like this. There teck line was not at all helpfull, they only read the directions to me that I already had. I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but there components I feel were not correct. Time is money to me and I hate wasting it on frustrating dead ends.
The Luk works just fine!
Too bad you had bad luck with CF. I ordered complete CF One set via my parts dealer and installed them without ANY problems. So, I´m happy with CF, the clucth works just perfectly and I cannot say anything bad about CF.
Paul brought up a good question about the integrity of the pedal arm to pivot shaft attachment. It is fairly common for the pedal arm to crack at this point. If the crack isn't quickly repaired, the arm will break off the pivot shaft.
I know it's hard to see the top of the pedal arm. It's tucked way up under the dash. But I know you can inspect it in the car with a flashlight if you still have a flexible spine. It might be a sore, but flexible spine after the inspection.
I've never had any problem with (many) Centerforce installations, but I'm sure the LuK clutch will give you good service; I put a LuK "Vintage Replacement Series" clutch kit (from Paragon) in my '57 five years ago, haven't had to adjust it once since wear-in. LuK is the largest manufacturer of clutches in the world - they are the supplier for the 12" OEM Viper clutch, which has proven to be superior to any of the "tuner" clutches for Vipers.

What year is yours? Is it the same one currently in your profile pic? I'm having very similar issues with a pretty vanilla 327-300. What part number was the LUK kit?
