C1 Voltage Regulator question
I replaced the VR with a date correct 001.
The one I took of is Delco Remy and is stamped 003 and is certainly is much later over the counter replacement. Looks to be in decent shape so I put it on Ebay for $35 and listing it as follows
"This was removed from a 1960 corvette and was in good working order when removed about 3 years ago. It was replaced with a date correct original. I believe it is a 30amp voltage regulator it will work for early Chevrolets that ran on on a 12 volt system using a generator."
There's another one on Ebay same 003 stamping listed as NOS at $180 and listed as correct for 56-61 corvette. Comparing pictures, mine look just like that listing including the stampings on the mounting flange.
Now for my question. I've got some guy messaging me on ebay saying
"this part number is correct for 1956 buick , cadillac oldsmobile and 1956 thru 1961 and may be 1962 ramblers .you have the only corvette I know of without a radio . with this information you should correct your listing , your creditable is also in question and someone could leave you with negative feedback . John"
I have compared pictures of my VR and the other one listed as NOS and I can't see any difference. If what he says is true then I will pull my ad, I certainly don't want to mislead or misrepresent anything.
Does anyone know what this guy is trying to tell me? Is there something missing?

Apparently he also thinks every Corvette had a radio.
You'll get messages from anybody with a keyboard on eBay...
Another reason I try to sell parts here on the forum first.
There's a better chance that a buyer will have half a clue what's going on.
After looking closer, there is another resistor on the bottom of the VR in the other listing. So I do see a difference in the one I have and the other one that is listed as an NOS on.
