66 Door *****

Does anyone know if the original GM chromed door opening ***** were metal or plastic covered in chrome? I get both answers and have seen both for sale. GM#3846934

Com'on....it's the mid sixties. Most all car parts were made of metal then....including the door opening *****.

My '61 incorrectly had metal C2 (chrome) door ***** (I don't know what year) when I got it....pretty sure they are original and there is nothing plastic about them. If you got hit in the head with one it would knock you out !

My first 65 came from the factory with white door pulls and white plastic door *****. Here's a picture from the 60's. Every 65 and 66 I've owned since has had chrome.
