You mean he doesn't even remember who he bought it from! That's the best place to start. I'd be careful if I were you and I would have serious doubts if he says the car has original this or that. He obviously can't verify anything and base the price you pay on that. Someday you may want to sell and you'll have the same issues. From the looks of the car i'd price as a NOM BB or SB car.

They used build sheets. But they did not start leaving them on the tank until 67. Finding paperwork without past owners help is next to impossible

Shvhd - Do you have any other pics of the 65? If so, post them and you'll get a free appraisal from the Forum Members. Did you happen to get the info off the VIN and Trim tags under the glove box?

Last 6 digits are 122413 which should put it between June or July production.

High redline tach, battery not showing on the pass side unless it's out of the car so likely on the drivers side with the removable inner wheel well panel, that's good.
PB master is the right design for 65/66 and was either recently refreshed or is a new repro. I see it's also got power windows, a nice option to have...I added it to my 65. Besides the VIN, did you get a pic or write down the info off the Trim Tag?

As some one else pointed out no emblems. Was this something done to give the car a cleaner look or does the car have a replacement front end? Rear sway bar? How about a big block radiator?

You can probably locate the holes for the emblems from the underside if you take off the grill and shine a flashlight up at the front

The emblems on the front fenders should be more easy to locate

Has rear sway bar & correct radiator. Person I'm buying it from has had the car since 1974. Nose was replaced due to fenders being flared. Has all the old emblems, bumper, & trim. Needs new door panels. Putting the car on a lift this sat. w/appraiser going through the whole car. Car was repainted 15 yrs. ago & has been kept in a heated garage since.

Must be a reason why the front wheel is chocked.
