Installing 502 into 66. Had to modified hood to accept 11" height of intake plenum. This was not enough so I shortened plenum by 3" What do you guys think are the ramifications of the 8" rise as opposed to the original 11" that GM sent with the rat. The work is 99% complete but as I live in Michigan we must wait until weather breaks to give it a run.

The RamJets, both 502 and 350, are notorious for running very rich.
Did you run the engine before you modified the plenum?
