Most I have seen have either a "O"(circle) or a "M".
I feel a bit silly even mentioning this, and it seems impossible to me, but a Chevrolet Engineer that worked there in the 50's & 60's, told me that the O's were used on the left head, and the M's were used on the right......or was it the other way around. I have it written down in my shop on a wall and chuckle whenever I see it.
I met him at Carlisle with a good friend who's owned/repaired/restored about 300 Corvettes in his lifetime. I respect his knowledge, but I'm afraid I just cannot believe this was reality.
