ididit Steering Column
I am in the process of restoring a '63 Corvette Convertible and want to install an "ididit" column in the car. I have twice tried to communicate with ididit via their website, but alas they are not inclined to respond.
What I am looking for is a complete list of items that I will need to order, in order to complete the installation in my car. I will be using an Eric Freeman steering wheel and a new (but stock style) wiring harness. My intent is to paint the column to match the interior color of red.
Checking their website, I've found the column I believe I will need, (#1120770010) and the installation kit (#3003004001) along with a steering wheel adapter.
What I don't know is if I will need to order a "horn kit" or if I can use my original Dash Bezel or trim plate at the floor. If anyone has installed one of these in their car I would certainly appreciate a bit of guidance.

I used the 1120770010 column with a 220230030 hub kit with includes the horn kit. I don't think you need the mounting kit the original brackets will work. I bought mine from Summit Racing, best price and I think it's in stock.

even though i have an Ididit column in my 62 and am satisfied (even though i had to tell them their catalog was wrong for a 62...); if all else fails, try Flaming River

Mark, that pretty much confirms what I suspected, but I didn't know that the horn kit was included with the hub kit. That will save some aggravation for sure.
Bill, Flaming River was second on my list, but frankly they didn't reply to my query either. Most of the folks on here seem to prefer the ididit column, so I was hoping to go that route.
Did either of you paint your column? Any special prep or procedures to consider?
