One lead on the battery (+) connection to the starter and the other lead to the "S" terminal (with purple wire).

A word of caution per the 1967 Chevrolet Service Manual: "Whenever the engine is cranked remotely at the starter, with a special jumper cable or other means, the primary distributer lead must be disconnected from the negative post on the coil and the ignition switch must be in the ON position. Failure to do this will result in a damaged grounding circuit in the ignition switch." (Section 6M-11 ENGINE FUEL)

You have a male/female hardshell connection in the engine harness about in line with the wiper motor. You can pull the tape back and tap in there to the end going to the starter.

That male / female hardshell connection near the windshield wiper motor connects a purple / violet to another of same color. On Automatic cars, these connections don't connect to each other, they connect to the neutral safety switch down on the tranny.

That's true for '63-'64 Powerglides - for '65-'67, the Powerglide neutral safety switch is INSIDE the car, on the shifter handle mechanism.

Neverrtheless, the hardshell connector is there on all midyears and you can use it to tap in for a remote starter, even SWC's and L 88's.
