Quick Intake manifold question

Does anyone know if a "461 Winters" Intake manifold, was originally painted an aluminum color, or just left natural on a 64?

I believe the sides (head to intake) were painted silver at the factory. More so the bare head area. From my faint memory of Noland's book, the painting was not done with any consistency, just some dude shootin silver paint in that area, so the varying degree of overspray onto the intake could vary.

I thought it was a little orange overspray over the natural aluminum if anything.
