I have a 3731394 intake with the snowflake back by the distributor- right behind 2nd carb also there is no day or month casting under the heat shield- never seen on like this before and anyone else Thanks Rich
Yes I realize it is a 2nd design casting number- but unlike my other 56 intake this one has no date cast under the heat shield-and there are no grind marks- also the casting number between the carbs does not have a snowflake also no grind marks- there is a snowflake back by the distributor- I have never seen one with this combination quit odd I will try to load a photo of this later if I can figure it out- not very tech savoy wish me luck Rich M

Hello Richard,
Do you have a digital camera? If so, take a couple of photos of the intake and save it as jpeg files on your computer. Send me a PM (private message) and ask me how you can post your intake picture on this forum.

sorry it took me so long to get photos onto sight but I am not a computer person- As you can see there is no snowflake with the casting number but there is one back by the distributor area- I would put the photo of the underside but my patience is at an end and all it would show is a clean casting If anyone else has seen this- anomaly casting and has any information thanks Rich M

You did a good job. Now wait for someone to give their information on your intake manifold.
now that I have calmed down after my computer picture experience it came to me that possibly that this is a over the counter or warranty replacement piece run at a different time Rich M
There were lots of minor variations in the early Winters castings, but none of them were anything special or experimental; we see the same kind of variations in the early (Winters) fuel injection baseplate and plenum castings.
I have seen two others without dates but I have not seen a snowflake put in a different place on casting- at least I have a one off conversation piece- maybe it was someone's first day or a bad Monday I guess I have a one of one that no one will want except for a decoration to hang up and talk about Rich M
