427 engine dates

427 engine dates
I have been doing some searching through the forums but here is my question:
my father is looking at a 67 427 vette. the head casting date is 3/30/67 and the car was assembled on april 7 (H07)
that seems close but OK, according to the forum.
the block is not correct, but the seller has a 427 block with date code a 11 67 (Jan 11) to go with the car. that block also has January 67 heads as well. according to my searches, an engine casting date 3 months before the car was assembled seems too long.
the goal is to make a correct 1967 car restoration, for fun, not for profit. but as long as we're spending the money, would like to know we are spending the money correctly.

Remarkable continuity of dates / numbers of key components (engine casting date October 13, 1966, alternator dated October 13, 1966, transmission date of October 31, 1966 (in addition, number stamp matching the car serial number and engine stamp), rear end dated October 31, 1966, rear end stamp "FB" designates 4.11 ratio for a big block engine which are listed as options on the tank sticker, windshield glass dated October 1966, engine assembled November 7, 1966, trim tag date of November 15, 1966, body marking "395" on firewall and rear bulkhead facing the gas tank matching handwritten number "395" on tank sticker, handwritten "395" on tank sticker appropriate for serial number of car, correct non dated jack, and more! ).

Wow - H 07 is March, not April? I guess I have been counting wrong - In the car assembly date, then 'A' would be august? i guess that makes sense. thanks for saving me there. I may have been misled or just misunderstood. justin
