Default Ground Strap Engine Mount ?

Hey Guys
Just want some clearification

Where does the ground strap go? One end goes under where they words ground strap are in the photo... but does the other end bolt onto A or B (or some other location?)

I couldn't really tell from the AIM or other photos I have seen

Thanks!

It goes from that hole in the frame to what you have marked as B

No, it goes where he marked position A. Position B is the long bolt and would not provide a ground from frame to engine. Position A is a bolt from the engine block which would provide a ground to the frame. Note the frame mount has the star washer against the frame (under the strap)

Clean to bare metal for good ground.

Ok... What is the secret?

I can't get wrench or socket/ratchet on that nut. Or, I can get the socket on, but then there is no clearance to get a 3/8 ratchet on the nut. Tried a flare/line wrench and can't get that on the engine mount bolt.

Am I missing a trick? Surely, I can't be the only one to have tried to replace the ground strap with the motor in place?

Wayne!
Thanks! I didn't have a 1/4 extension (I didn't have a 9/16 1/4" drive socket either)
BUT
Your suggestion caused me to dig through my tool box, and I found a 3/8" elbow, which made it all work!

Thanks guys... I LOVE this forum!

Actually, I tried a flare nut, but the flare was too thick to fit in there... I needed a thin walled socket and a universal joint
