FUEL PUMP ISSUE

I think I'm replacing the pump, but, before I do, is there a fix for this pump with a stripped out hole? JB Weld?? The pump works fine, but I'm not going to be stupid here, if that leak ain't easily fixable, I'm replacing it. The pump I put in (which is leaking) is a Carter M3120 made by Federal Mogul.
Are there any other manufacturers (Borg Warner, AC Delco) that make the replacement pump for my application. The Carter pump flows 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 psi and from what I read was the pump used in the 365 horse and 375 horse 327's in '65. I went with this higher flowing pump because my original 300 horse ain't 300s (what with mods to heads, cam, carb etc.
Appreciate your advice.
Thanks!
Jim
Paragon has the correct replacement AC pump for the '64-'66 327-350/365 application; identical to the original AC #40083, except doesn't have the "AC" logo cast in it. Their #2932, $65.00. They also have the similar pump for the '63-'65 327/300 that replaces the original AC #4657 - their #4523, $54.00.
If you have the L-79 intake and carb, the first one will match up with your combination and accept the correct hard-line pump-to-carb pipe.

Good idea. Worth a try. I'm going out there tonight and see if that is dooable.
Hey JohnZ, thanks for an obvious source I didn't think about. I have had some success getting a correct part, not necessarily an NCRS, no point deduct part, but a functional part from local auto parts sources like Hayes Auto Parts on Hayes in Sterling Heights as well as United Auto Parts in Roseville. I did call Paragon and spoke to a tech person who did indeed confirm that part you quoted to be the high flow (up to 7 psi).
Will keep you guys posted on which way I go.
Thanks again for your input.
Regards,
Jim
By the way Hi Jim, hope all is well.

Check with your supplier.
If you have trouble warranting it, email me and I will see if I can help.
I carry the Cater line in my store.

Hey WASSSSSSUPPPPPPP? Seriously, you didn't waste anytime making yourself at home and carving out a niche at this great forum!! I told you so!! I'm fine! Thanks for asking. Hope things are going well with you. Before I do replace that pump, I'm going to try (I know...said I was doing this last night but got sidetracked) a longer bolt as the upper housing appears to be threaded at least an inch and the stock bolts are only 1/2 inch in length.
Plaidside may be able to step in and help if I this doesn't work. Thanks Plaidside!
Stay tuned
Jim

IT WORKED!! You were right on. I ended up putting in 2 longer bolts. Didn't need a nut. The 2 threaded housings for these bolts are totally enclosed looking up from the bottom. The threaded portion was almost twice the threaded bolt in length. Stopped off at Suburban Bolt and Nut Company 'bout 4 miles from the house. Showed them 1 of the short bolts and they matched it up perfectly. Bought 2 with 1 inch threads. Ended up cutting off an 1/8 of an inch off each bolt. Tightened up all the other tiny bolts that run around the rim. Fired the beast and took it for a spin. Twenty minutes later, climbed under her and she's dry as a bone!!! It's the simple things!!
Hey Plaidside, thanks again for the offer of stepping in on this one. I appreciate that! :)
She's back on the road in the mornin'!! :D
