Oil pan
On a 66 corvette 327/350hp , to remove the oil pan does the transmission and the clutch need to be dropped? Thanks in advance

NO...you need to drop the steering linkage and the dust shield on the bell housing..plus the Starter to get to the pan bolts...

Remove the two bolts holding the idler arm to the frame on the passenger's side. That'll move the steering linkage far enough out of the way. Remove the dust cover and starter as stated above. Removing the oil filter will make life easier as well. Then you should be able to remove the pan bolts and drop the pan right out.
If you're not deeply into originality, a Fel-pro one-piece pan gasket will make installation much easier.

If your not time pressed, drop the oil and let it drain for a day or two.

Make sure you measure the pan so you'll install the correct gasket.

I think you'll be surprised by the amount of oil which will drip from the engine and the span of time over which it will drip.
Last summer the oil pan was off the engine in my '60 for about three weeks. The engine
-->never<-- stopped dripping.
