Default Engine stamp issue

I bought a 1965 327 block the casting is correct the date = F14 5 or June 14Th 65 but the stamp for the engine code = 85563 ?? no F or T I was told of course "it came out of a 1965 Corvette" the partial VIN you can only see the first character = 7 how can I identify this engine there is no T or F or any other letter on the deck where the engine stamp is ???

The first number on the VIN derivative should be a 5. I have never heard of that other number with no F for a Corvette 327 Should have an F then 4 digits representing a date and a two letter suffix for engine type ( HP)

Wow a dime for every 327 that "came out of a Corvette" anyway impossible to say what you really have there but a PHOTO of that pad would be very helpful to narrow it down

Decked pad, non-factory stamping now on it, nothing to identify it as was or is related to any Corvette. Just another 870 block

It looks very much like an engine that has seen at least one rebuild and been decked and restamped with some unique numbers.

Good luck... GUSTO
