Default Slow posting Corvette pics??????

What's with the new look of the photo posting? It's very slow on my computer,.....which really hampers putting fun pics stuff on a thread, even on the Friday Funnies thread.

I don't see any difference. If you post large pictures (near the cutoff limit which is approaching 2 Megabytes per pic) then, yes, it will be slow....and sometimes the pictures will get inverted...nothing new about that.

I like the new system uploading directly instead of using a hosting service. Much faster and easier. The larger the picture, the longer it takes to upload and resize.

You could always copy an image from anywhere on the net, and use the image button to paste it in your reply. That option is VERY slow now, and the layout is different. The only time I needed a host like tinypic or photobucket was an image from my computer.
I think it changed when the forum ownership changed hands.

I don't know what to say, I post as many or more pics/diagrams as nearly anybody on here and have no speed issues. I ALWAYS post directly from my laptop....and I have a pretty small Internet 'pipe' to boot. 7.5 mb/sec download and about 1.5 mb/sec upload.

Maybe you should run speedtest.net and make sure you aren't having bandwidth problems.

If you are, as you are, a paying member of the forum, you could always post from your PC. The rest of us can't.

I am not, and I can. That has changed from the past. I provided a detailed description step by step with pictures of the steps to post directly from your computer. I will find that thread and post the link again.

Here you go. The instructions begin with post #13. Justplainwacky was trying to arrange posted pictures with text between so I did this instructional for him. You can use this without being a paying member and you don't need any hosting sites. Straight from your laptop or attached device (like a camera or flash drive) without even putting them on the computer if you don't want to.

Are you trying to post larger breasts? Could be weighing the net down.

I think your computer is slowing down to take a better look at your avatars. I know that I do.
