Testing 64 ammeter
Does anyone know how to test a 64 ammeter on the bench?
When it was in the car it dd not move in either direction.
I tested for resistance across the terminals and it is infinity.

Sounds like the winding is open. Take a small flashlight battery and some jumper leads. Touch momentarily across the connector. The needle should deflect slightly in one direction. Reverse the leads and it should deflect slightly in the other. If you want more deflection use a square 9v battery and just MOMENTARILY touch the leads and remove quickly.
