What the heck does that mean?
Install the grommet on the left side of the motor (driver's) with the L up. Wire 7 is outboard, 3, 1 and 5 in the inboard position.

Passenger side (R up), wire #8 is outboard, etc.

Mike,
I'm finally getting to the installation. Forgive my ignorance, but if the grommet is on the left/driver's side of the engine stamped 7315, the only wires on the left side are 1, 2,3, and 4. How could you put the #7 cylinder plug wire on the LEFT side of the engine?

Above data is from a number of sources I've saved over the years, including Lectric Limited.

And yes, feeding the wires backwards through the motor mounts is the secret.

Mike
Mike,
What are the lengths for wires #5, 6, 7,and 8?

That's where the #7 wire belongs.
The cylinders are numbered (front to rear) 1-3-5-7 on the driver's side, and 2-4-6-8 on the passenger side. Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.

Wow, do I feel stupid. Thanks, John. So when Mike refers to "Wires # 1, 2 & 3 should be 48-49", Wire # 4 is 45" - he means the first cylinder driver's side (#1); first cylinder passenger side (#2); second cylinder driver's side (#3); second cylinder passenger side (#4), right?

That means that 3 of the remaining 4 are at 29" (on my set) and the fourth 27" one is probably #8, correct?https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ies/crazy2.gif
