C2 Hood Release Problems

I have had my car disassembled for a body on restoration. I put the hood on to check contours and make adjustments. I have had a problem with the driver side release not releasing whereas the passenger side works well. There does not seem to be any significant lateral adjustment in the latch. Anyone else have issues that you have resolved. Thanks for any input.

With the hood open, check to see if the latches release/open at the same time?

Adjust the brass barrel nuts...

The receiver bracket attached to the bulkhead can be adjusted side to side. It has slotted holes on the bracket. Did this on mine to get correct adjustment.

And if not enough receiver lateral adjustment the mounting holes can easily be slotted a little more with a round file.
