More speedometer problems

Default More speedometer problems
My speedometer just started bouncing . took the cable off trans
but could not pull out inner cable .It turns free and easy.
Do I have to pull it from the top?
64 auto.

Yes, you do - the cable has a ferrule at the top end which prevents it from being removed from the transmission end; it has to be removed from the speedo head end.
