6 7 roadster hinge pillar weatherstrip retainer. assm.instruction manual page G101 . #3. I noticed a flange on one side of retainer. anyone know if this flange faces outside vehicle or towards inside ? just checking to see if I have it correct.(still chasing leaks)
If my memory serves me well, there is a specific lip on the weatherstrip that fits into one side only. Then the weatherstrip fits one way to seal the vent frame. Hope this helps. Dennis
I must have explained it wrong. the retainer not the weatherstrip has a flange or extra 1/16 "edge on one side of retainer and it can be mounted either way to hinge pillar by just flipping around. there are four screws attaching retainer to hinge pillar.then weatherstrip goes on.the 1/16"edge is my concern.towards cabin or towards outer portion of vent frame? please remember this is a roadster and is different than coupe. thanks for replys

Page G101 in my AIM shows the rear deck latch assembly. Mine is def for a '67, has option L-88.
On the other hand, is your question about weatherstrip retainer on the edge of the windshield frame. I guess that is the hinge pillar, p G110 in my AIM. Reference section A-A, same page. If so, one side of the retainer is a u-shaped channel, that goes forward/ outside. Verified that on my own car.
Hope this helps, GA

curious, my aim is from mid America ,page G110 is showing body mount. I guess different printing dates or publishers list differently.
As I have noted many times, when referring to the Assembly Manual, if you expect someone else to find the same item you're describing, DO NOT USE "PAGE NUMBERS", as each vendor hand-numbers their own pages, and each vendor works from a different copy of a copy of a copy, etc. What DOES WORK, regardless of who numbered the pages, is to use the UPC number and sheet number in the revision block area at the bottom of the sheet - that will ALWAYS put you on the same page as the other guy.
In the example above, using UPC 1Asm, Sheet F16, item #3 would take you instantly to the right sheet, regardless of who "numbered" the pages.
