I did a search and didn't find the answers I was looking for.
I want to lower my C2 just a bit as it just always looks too high to me. (yes, I'll lower my C7Z an inch or so, too)
Questions:
Where can I obtain the shorter springs/ I don't see them in any of my catalogs. And, since the car has had the monoleaf rear spring installed, can it be lowered as simply as modern-era Vettes?
You can lower the rear with longer bolts, maybe 8" with lock nuts (makes it adjustable) to replace the 6". The front not so easy. You'll need to cut the coil springs. Be careful you don't lower it enough for the tires to hit the fenders when you turn and hit a bump. Put some pictures up for comparison.
The F-40/41 option springs are susposed to lower the car 1/2" to 1". They also stiffen up the suspension (firmer ride, more responsive handling). I was happy with the result. Worth considering.
Otherwise, I'd call one of the suspension specialists like VBP or Guldstrand or Muskegon Brakes.
I have the VB&S front springs 460GT and the mono leaf rear 330 on my '67. It lowered the car about 2 in. It is a good compromise between ride and handling with the Bilstein shocks. Dennis

Can I see some pix? I was thinking about dropping about an inch, but maybe 2" would be good.
You can get one and two inch drop springs directly from Eaton. I believe that Jeff Garner here on the board has a set he would sell you too I think he has a 1" drop set. Here is my car with 1" lowering springs in the front and 10" bolts in the rear. The tire size is 225/55/17 to reference the rolling diameter. I'm about 25 1/4" from the fender lip to the ground.
