Default Need Information On A Gas Strut Hood Strut

Does anyone have the part number and any other information on converting the hood hold open strut bar to a Gas strut?

I think you are on the wrong CF section. Should be on the C-6 section.

Bluestripes67 I'm looking for the C1, I think they probably have it for all the other models. I have seen them in the past used on the C1, but did not pay much attention to the type of cylinder used because I didn't own a C1 at the time. I would guess probably a 14 to 15" long cylinder with about 50lbs of pressure should work, but wanted to make sure

I think that Billy Dawson, Corvette Correction has a conversion for gas strut hood lifts.

I replaced the gas springs on a lift gate using info from a Nissan forum. Some recommended McMaster over OEM overpriced units. This page has some technical info that may guide you. If you've never worked with these, be careful, they can hurt you!
