Anyone ever successfully use Vintage Air with a set of McJacks headers?
I bought a set of McJacks headers to use on my '67 327 car, and then later decided that "while I was at it" I'd install a Vintage Air kit as well. I got the headers on last night, and decided to start bolting up the compressor brackets and compressor tonight, and it doesn't look like it's going to fit.
The VA brackets come with a variety of spacers you can use if you have headers and not exhaust manifolds, but the McJacks are a bit different...they are designed the same as the stock manifolds, but in a tubular design. Anyways, the bracket needs to be spaced out two inches from the flange if you use headers with a 3/8 flange, and it looks impossible with these McJacks...the spacers run right into the header tubes. I attached a pic of the header in question. You are supposed to use the bolt on the far right and the third bolt in from the right.
Just going out on a limb to see if anyone has ever successfully installed the compressor brackets on a set of McJacks before I put them up for sale. These things were a small fortune...
Thanks in advance.

You could possibly solve the mount problem by using an extended Header Power Bracket, then using some kind of "L" or "F" bracket (probably need to be fabricated) to mount the compressor using the slots. The slots locate the bolt heads/nuts in the valve cover recess to clear the engine.

I think I'm going to modify the bracket. Instead of spacing the bracket itself out off the header flange, I'm thinking I will bolt the bracket directly to the flange and instead cut and modify the mount itself on the bracket by welding a 2 inch piece of steel in to space it out correctly.
