Default 62 engine paint question.....?

Were the engines painted after the front yoke and water pump was installed, or before. So the yoke would be orange right?

If the part is called out in the AIM it's not painted orange.

The front motormount bracket/yoke and the water pump were in place when the engine was painted.

Nope. The PRODUCTION motormount bracket was received and installed raw at Flint V-8 (they didn't have a prime paint system); the motormount brackets provided to SERVICE were dip-primed black by the supplier or by GM Parts Division so they didn't rust in warehouse storage.
