Has anyone tried replacing the armrest on their C2 with something else?
Mine is pretty old, or a poor replacement. I figure I can get new foam and a cover, or see if someone has done something clever improving the armrest, adding cup holders, or a console?
Don't remember who made these/offered these for sale but here's my gift from my sons that really works well. The storage is shallow but great enough for sunglasses/flashlight/napkins etc...
Here's a link to where you can purchase the single cupholder. Think who manufacturers this also does the 2 cupper. Pricey!!
C&C enterprises used to make these and supply them to ecklers. I have the single cup. Not sure the dual cup would be any better. as is you have to pull your arm back to get it back behind the cup.
I like my coffee so its worth it. No mods required just pushes down over existing arm rest.

Volunteer offers a great solution in my opinion. This is what I have in my 64. It gives me a better armrest, storage, and two cup holders too.
I used the same lid on console I had made for my 64. Lid is a Volvo part used from 1997-2003 on stations wagons and some other models as well. Can find them on Ebay most of the time.
Jim, this is Frank's and it didnt get too much in the way. I would get one if they were less expensive.
This is the one I have. I love it. I do have a Hurst shifter handle which is a little taller so shifting is not a problem. The single works better for me and you have a small amount of storage. I bought mine at Carlisle 2 years ago from either Corvette Central or Corvette America. They are always close to the C2 Registry. They had it on sale for $129. It pulls out for cleaning or shows very easy.
I put one back into my car some time ago, but then changed that out eventually
On the stock one, I had the bottom cut out for a Colt Mustang .380 Auto! But then using the car on the street in the 90's, I put a later model emergency brake handle there, because I had no e-brake at all for awhile having converted the under dash location to an under the car header dump pull prior to returning to side mounts again in the latter 90's.
Ps Hi BCwaller, alot of us were kicking around sparse records some months back on the SCCSCC slalom Championships and the Solo I & II from the 1964- 1976 or so! I was wondering if you had the complete records or just the standings on your super cool and notable Slalom Racer. I see on your website, you post those up. I kind of figure it is sad that some of that local history is being forgotten. I was attempting to assemble all of that, but was sadly disappointed in others willingness to share collectively what we all have or have found!

I really like this, but the price is outrageous. For less than that, I had my soft top replaced. And seats recovered. For my Jeep, I bought an actual name-brand 9500 lb winch with synthetic line, tree strap, rings, etc. I understand there's a fair amount of "pay to play" in the Corvette world, but good lord.

Poorhousenext- that arm rest looks great, did you construct the bottom and use the Volvo cover? What seats are you using they look great also.

I did not construct the bottom. I supplied the Volvo Lid/Cover to the shop that did the interior of car, Pro Custom interiors/Steve Holcomb in Knoxville, TN and he designed and build console.
The seats are C6, with back cut down 2.0" to proportion them to car interior height. Steve redid the look of them with the flat pleates an added the eyelets to draw peoples eyes to the seats as well as rest of interior. Got to say that little touch really works.
IMO - Steve could make himself a tidy profit building custom center consoles for C2s. The market is wide open for an off-the-shelf solution as the vendors' offerings are ill-conceived, bad-looking afterthoughts....
