I have never seen one that was not wound like an autotransformer. Who ever said the wire the had to be the same gauge? Only you!
Did you google autotransformer like I told you to? Did you see the schematic of an autotransformer?? Is it wound any different than an ignition coil?
More proof needed? Read the second paragraph to see who is right.

LOL you really don't get it. There are not separate dwell times for voltage and "energy". To think you can generate ANY voltage without dwell time is beyond misunderstanding. Current is proportional to voltage. You are not familiar with ohms law? What exactly is this "energy" you keep referring to? The only energy being stored is the magnetic field. It does all the work. Its there or it is not.

Once the primary coil is saturated, both the max current and voltage will be available when it collapses. You can't generate only one.

I have seen your unspecified "technical disagreements" comments in other threads any time someone challenges your "knowledge".
You have said you disagree twice now. But fail to provide anything specific, just this lame response:

Oh you care. Fact is there are no errors in my post, only in yours. I pointed out my problems with your post and now suddenly you "don't have time" to show me where I am wrong? You have plenty of other time for all your other wordy posts but not enough to bury a guy who challenges your perceived knowledge?

Again I invite you to describe the "several technical disagreements" or errors in my post.

No, honest, I really don't care. Pissing matches are generally a waste of everyone's time, and I've been on this site long enough to have come to the conclusion that I've got better things to do than waste even more time on unproductive activities.

But, I'll tell you what. If we can have a civil, engineering discussion I'm interested in that (I'll even admit to being half of the previous difficulty).

If that's possible, I'd like to discuss my disagreements with parts of posts 12, 14, 19, and 21. Some of these are technical disagreements, and some are your inferences/extrapolations of things I did not say.
I'll also explain my viewpoint to parts of my posts that you disagree with.

Your call.
