Opinions on these C1/C2 for sale

Thanks very much for your response. Mine is, well, it does and it doesn't. I had no problem finding many, many worthy cars with these options for sale. I was also told by Corvette experts that the "Holy Grail" for Corvette people was either the '67 big block cars whether coupe or convertible (let's leave out the rare 1 of 20 or whatevers--not in my wheelhouse) and the '63 split window coupes. Other than those, I found more cars that meet my 2 requirements than I could ever choose from, and all were for sale.
The issue I was trying to raise was that these are not particularly rare cars--my first GS was 1 of 81 made and I bought it new!--as there were thousands of Corvettes made. I was trying to explain that, as a newbie to the Corvette hobby world, I was surprised at being priced out of almost all C2 and C3 cars. Not to pick on any one person or car, but, for example, I saw SEVERAL cars that were either in parts or wrecked that met my requirements. They all needed 6-figure restorations to even run, yet the best prices on such cars were in the $50K range. I have no issue with this; it was just a surprise to me coming from a world where even very rare 400-point cars seldom approach 6 figures while almost all Corvettes are either past 6 or so close it doesn't matter.
I guess I am suffering from sticker shock! I have been messing with cars since 1961 and purchased a 1971 Corvette (350/auto) new back in the day. Even then it was over $7K and most muscle cars were in the $5K-$6K range, so I guess I should not be so "shocked" that they still command premium prices. After all, even if there are parts, the body work is extraordinarily difficult and expensive to do properly.
So, yes, there is some supply-demand logic to what I am seeking, but it seems strange to me that so many are for sale, yet the prices remain at their current level and are probably rising for some of the cars I listed above as "Holy Grail" Corvettes. So many people have huge disposable incomes today that I should not be surprised--people pay millions for '60's MUSTANGS, for example!!--about all this. The good news is that Corvette people are pretty cool and I will eventually find one and be able to drive it AND go to shows. What could be better for a hobby?
Cheers,
Richard

OK, I as looking at the roadster that Ebay did a re-direct on from the sold coupe. After looking at the coupe my opinion on it is that it too was FAIRLY bought. OK driver but far from the original type cars many of us here like.

Opinions wanted on this '64 C1 just purchased for $26,300. Yes, we know it does not have original motor, front end has been modified, ride height has been altered for unknown reasons and looks a little goofy with wire wheels.. Thanks for your expert opinions.

Those '67 headrest seats would probably be valuable to someone. Did you get the headrests?
I think it looks great, especially for the price.

For what you paid, there is no way you will get hurt on this car. Very low price for a fun car, IMO.

I’m about to pay twice that for a ‘64. I looked at your car and had it on my watch list. I think you did really well and are going to have a blast driving the wheels off of it!
