As with you, I've been in a long search for a unique mid-years corvette. I finally found mine in July (long story) which wound up being an almost duplicate of yours. Another +1 on the POR-15 Manifold thing. I didn't blast mine, but I did spend a good hour on each with a wire wheel. It one of the simplest things to do to make your engine bay pop!
