Ok I have a car that was customize in the 70', for the must part I love the car. The one thing that really bugs me is the side mirrors. The mirrors are mustang mach 1 mirrors. The problem is were they installed them, they wont let the vent window open. The car has 2 holes for mounting these mirrors that are 6 1/2 apart. I was thinking about installing some other mirrors that the glass moves so i get open vents when I want to. The problem is I need a mirror that is going to cover the existing holes I would need a mirror that has a base that is 7 to 8 inches long and about 1 inch wide. I don't want to glass existing holes and repaint doors. Any ideas on what I can do or mirrors that would fit.

Early 63's had a long base mirror, but I don't know the actual length.
