Default C1 Car Cover Question

First, for anyone who may respond THANKS. I have solicited good information in the past and when I go to thank the individual for some reason via the PM I cannot. So THANKS up front. I am sure I am doing something wrong regarding the PM usage. I have finally completed a 62 vette I stored away in 76. The result is that it turned out to be a really nice driver that I will use. The question: I am looking for a good quality car cover solely for inside purposes. Any suggestions? Again, thanks much, Pete Zanellato

I personally have a light single-layer, dust cover that I use when I'm working around the car with chemicals or doing painting in the garage. Other than that my '61 is uncovered. Some of those covers can cause paint issues if left on long enough under the right conditions and the more stuff you pull back and forth across the paint the more upkeep is required. My '63 came with an expensive Wolf, custom-fitted cover that I use on VERY rare occasions. Those are worth looking at if you really want one.

Check out California Car Covers or Paragon.

If you are thrifty like me, you can get the universal fit cover (there are a few generic sizes - enter the make/model/year and it tells you which is best) from JC Whitney for about $50. Like you, I only use it indoors and I find it perfectly fine for that purpose.

If interested, I have an Back East car cover that I have used on a '58 and '56 when stored inside. It is cotton flannel on the inside and cotton twill on the outside. Light gray in color. Elastic runs around the bottom at both the front and rear and antenna hole is reinforced. It has plenty of room to cover your car with the top up or hardtop and it drapes down over the mirrors with no tension. I no longer have my cars and don't anticipate ever needing it. There is no major dirt or oil spots although if I recall there is naturally some grime at the rear where it fits over the tail pipes. First $30 plus shipping takes it.

If you had Michelle Jenekke sleeping naked at your house, would you cover her up? I think not. So why cover the Corvette. I want to admire it every time I walk by.

Sometimes the anticipation and wonderment of "what's underneath there" is more exciting than full-time nudity......after all, lingerie is the favorite of many. Cant' believe I am saying this!!

I have owned 2 Back East flannel car covers, too bad they closed up shop because I considered them better than California Car Covers.

If cats or other small animals happen to get in the garage, you might get claw marks in the paint as they caper and slide all over your four-wheeled "playground equipment". To say nothing of sh*t stains, etc.

I went to the thrift shop and bought two thick comforters which I put over a light indoor cover. I have a tendency to put thing on the hood and trunk and they give me lots of padding.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a C1 (61) cover? It seems that both antenna and mirror pockets would be needed. I haven't been able to find one so far.

Thanks

This, in Sunforger fabric (add $50 to the price shown; they'll add mirror pockets if you really need them, at extra cost):

car cover is a must for your c1 corvette. if you want to keep it protected against bad weather, snow, rain, sand storm, you should get yourself a thick car cover with fleece lining in the inside. i got a custom fit one for 144.99$

if anyone interested. PM.
