I just dropped in a 700R4 Transmission into my 1965 327. Good tranny, runs like a raped ape. Retained the original Powerglide in a crate.
1) Did you remove and modify the crossmember, or did you get the 700R4 that some outfit (can't remember whom) modifies so that it fits without altering the crossmember?
2) Did you have to shorten your driveshaft or get a shortened one?
3) What diff do have? 3.36 non-posi?
I hope some to day to have a 700R4 or 2004R put in my 67. Probably will wait until either my PG needs major work or the engine comes out for a rebuild. Suspect the latter will happen before the former.
Great Avatar and User Name! When my bad knee which had me limping and gulping pills for several weeks finally healed, the message I sent to my friends was "Mein Fuehrer, I can walk!"
