Default Who makes a replacement frame?

Been searching here and the internet but can't find the name of the company that sells C2 replacement frames.

Have a friend with a 65 that says he has a bad frame, not sure what he is considering as bad but I will look at it this weekend. In the mean time I told him I would send him a link for a replacement frame.

Who sell a OEM replacement 1965 frame?

Dennis

Have a look at Vette Products of Michigan. They make a very nice replacement frame from original GM specs.

Vette Products of Michigan is the only company making reproduction OEM frames. You can buy them direct, or through any of the major Corvette vendors. They make a very nice product, but be forewarned, they can be a little difficult to deal with.

America's Finest Corvettes sells restored original frames. They'll sell anything from a bare frame, up to a complete rolling chassis. America's Finest can also stamp the correct VIN into the frame.

If your friend decides to go with America's Finest, tell him to consider getting restored a-arms and/or trailing arms, from them too. Mike at America's Finest can explain it better, but due to some quirk in the way common carrier (or truck) freight works, they usually have to add sandbags to the pallet with the frame. By getting the finished suspension pieces along with the frame, they don't need to add the sandbags, and you actually end up getting the heavy and oversize suspension pieces shipped for free.

Neil Porter of Vette Products of Michigan purchased the original tooling from GM for the frames. It takes some time, once ordered, to get the frame, as they do not "stock" the frames. Can't beat original.
