Outside of actually finding an original GM "IT" stamping on an old 4-bolt block - is there really anything different about a 4-bolt L88 block versus any 4-bolt L72/L71 block other than the stamp? I thought the only real material differences were in the components - pistons, rods, cam, etc?
Decided to try his crafts as a engine stamper too.......
The markings were 'TO 530 IT for the pad going out of the plant as a complete engine....the 530 was just a build date...The complete engine also had a large IT tag glued to the front of the left valve cover for quick identification as the Vettes were being built
19 K? .........You can build one, or two or three with real 88 parts for that price....Phony on the outside, what s on the inside?
he has the letters in the wrong position too
