We were fortunate enough to have been there twice (once with the 62 and once with the 63) and really enjoyed that show. Just one fantastic car after another. We were amazed at how huge Cobo Hall is and the number of cars at that event.

Great to see the pictures from the past and that the Vette was well represented.

Thanks so much for sharing. Those are some BIG meats on the back of that 63 split window with 6 tail lights. Also, was that the Maroon 67 L88 Ko-Motion from Motion Performance in the background in one of the pictures? I didn't have time to study the pic, but sure looked like it? ARA

Those are wonderful photos. I still like custom C2s, Anglias, and customs--guess I belong in a simpler time.

I still hit the Autorama usually every other year.

Great pics. The displays definitely had a lot less bling back them. The blown 64 Vette had the color wheel lighting that evokes memories of a tin foil Christmas tree we had back then.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Al Kaline the hall of fame right fielder for the Detroit Tigers at the Autorama, now that's cool.

No from NYC but he was a Yankee killer and played right field in Yankee Stadium like he owned the place. He may have pulled more home runs back in the ball park than any other visiting outfielder ever.
