Was A/C only available on lower HP cars or was it technically available on all engines? Particularly were there any Fuel Injected cars built with A/C?
There were, I believe, 278 Corvettes with A/C in 1963. None of them had Fuel Injection. It was not (has never been) an option on solid lifter cars, BUT, it can be argued that the fuel injection air cleaner installed on the driver's side occupied the position that the alternator WOULD have occupied IF the air conditioner compressor HAD been installed on the passenger side

In 1963, A/C wasn't available on the solid-lifter engines (340hp carbed and 360hp fuelie); only on carbureted hydraulic-lifter engines (250 and 300hp).
I was mistaken in my post above.
There were quite a few 365HP (solid lifter) Corvettes, including some Convertibles manufactured in 1964, and 1965 WITH A/C (not fuelies).
(The members above politely did not call me out on the mistake)
