I still go to Old Town with Mike and Frankie about every other week, many improvements have been made in the last 6 mouths but parking is still a problem if you are not a cruiser.
I think the move to Lakeland will be looked upon as a good thing in a couple more weeks when people see how much more space is available. The Sunday all Corvette wash and shine show will be held on Saturday this year for the first time because of the space increase, this has always been a great show but most people had already left for home and missed it. I will be there Thur.- Sat and hope to see you all there.

I certainly agree with Mark on the spectator parking issue. A few weeks ago(Mark you weren't there that night), last minute decision, my wife and I drove up to OT for the Sat Night Cruise in my DD. It took about 15 minutes to get a parking spot. The old kiddie ride area was empty but they roped it off so cars couldn't park there. I finally got over to the grass field $5 parking area, where the swap meet used to be.
The Town was jammed with people. I hadn't seen it that crowded in a long time. Car show great as usual, and got to visit with Mike and his friend Mark but Frankie wasn't there that night.

BTW, Mikey...... I think she liked your car a lot.
Not to high jack this thread. Hey Frankie, tell me if this is your car? I was at Old Town a couple of years ago for the first time and took this picture of a hot looking 62.

That is my '61 - no question about it. The 'hot' '62 is to the right - a Mike Coletta restomod creation done quite a few years back and still gets all the attention from the younger crowd
Wow, talk about dejavu. Here is the engine of that restomod. I had a picture of that to. If you don't mind, would you please let me know when you guys will be at old town again. I don't want to waste the trip there and not see your car.
We joke about those rail covers....we hear a lot of people tell their wives/buddies, "...My God, its got an L-53 engine!".
Well, Mark (the '62 owner) and Mike Coletta are there nearly every Saturday without fail. They have reserved parking spots so that ensures they have a spot each week.
Some of us only make it 2-3 times a month. I plan to be there tomorrow night but just got my restored dual quads back on the '61 and haven't wrung them out much yet via test driving; so I could well be there in the '63 coupe....
