restoring a 60, car is complete and original but frame is shot, advice?
anyway to improve handling with original equipment and radial tires?

If not, and you need a new frame and want better handling, have you considered an aftermarket frame?

There are nice high quality, original-style "X" frames available or complete restomod setups up to the point of "rollers" with all the modern do-dads already on them...disc brakes, rear end, etc.. Vast difference in price and ride and originality... You can always go with the original style and do a hybrid; e.g. swap in new front end components to replace the old center-link, kingpin steering...
