I discovered this app for smart phones about three weeks ago. It is free and the police are asking for the police feature to be disabled. It uses a GPS format. I used it on my trip to Florida and it really works well. It offers numerous features including ID of police, accidents, disabled cars, heavy traffic for just a few. It does pull your battery down but I just use a charger cord. I have also found it useful around town where it ID's red light cameras. You can see other Waze users on your map. In VA radar detectors are illegal so this is a great way to protect yourself. Try it, I think you will like it.
