65 conv. side window removal

65 conv. side window removal

When I removed my side windows from my 65 conv. I had to remove the upper stops in order to get it out. Was this correct or is there a trick to getting them out without removing these stops?

pretty sure those must be removed. I did on mine when I had to disasemble my windows to re-bed the panes in the sashes. They are easy to take off and put back on.

Yes, the stops need to be removed. No big deal.

Thanks for the replies. The Shop Manual does not mention that the stops have to be removed. That is why I thought there might be a trick to getting the window out without removing them. I removed mine and the windows are out.

If each and every sub-process was described in shop manuals, you would need a dolly to carry the manuals around.
