Default 58 - need help identifying some things

Now that my car is out for paint, I'm going through all my parts and organizing them. I have ran into some parts that off the top of my head I couldn't identify and instead of me wracking my brains out, I thought I'd throw them up here.

1. These say "body rivets"...but where are they used?

4. Are these shims for the steering wheel?

5. Wood under sill plates?? I didn't have these on my car when I took my sill plates off.

4 & 8 are part of the steering column mount under your dash. See Corvette Central part no. 561134. You should have another mount piece for this as well, part no. 561137.

7 is a bumper shim and bumper mount block, see Corvette Central part 201295. On the rear bumpers, these would probably mount on the side bolts, see assembly manual for drawing.

1 is a Corvette Central part number, 181305.

Number 8 is the bracket to mount the steering column cover.

Maybe number 2 is part of the hood latch assembly

number 8 is the mount piece for the dash trim casting under the steering column

7 looks like a rear bumper mount shim , and rear body mount point shim (for side bumper mount)

6 me neither...

4 steering column shimms

5 correct, below the door sills

9 single vacum release line is the right one for your 58

# 2 is one of the jack handle/lug wrench clips that screws on your trunk floor.

The difference in the wiper controls is the singe nipple is for your 1958 and the other one is not.

The wood shims prevented the stainless steel sill plates from collapsing if someone stood on them; unlikely, but it could happen without the oak shims.

I don't believe #6 is part of a 1958 Vette.

Speaking of the wiper control....a long time ago I re-painted the inside of the controls cause they looked like crapola...unfortunately, I think I made them look worse. While looking them, some I could figure out how to remove...like the windshield **** has set screw, but others don't. Can you replace just the *****?

I believe you can replace the headlight **** with a repro, but it is attached to the shaft. You push up on the button on the bottom of the headlight switch and it releases the shaft/****. **** is pressed onto the shaft and not designed to come off.

Hey John....nope that's not it. Here are a couple of other pictures.
I know some of the stuff I have (boxes) are stuff that I got on Ebay cause I may have needed one item but it was in "a lot". As mentioned above...may not even go on the car.

I've had just about every part on or off of my 58 over the last year. I don't recall seeing anything like this. I don't have the hard top, maybe it is from there? Otherwise probably for a different car.

That last little gizmo looks like what goes on top of a windshield wiper arm.

Here is a mirror I found. I know it doesn't go to my car as I have the correct one, but I haven't a clue to what it does go to.
