Default Door lock problem

My 63 doors won't lock. With a scope I can see that the key turns the cylinder and the wire linkage moves the lever on the lock but it still opens. Any thoughts and or diagrams much appreciated.

Default Locks

The problem most likely is that the grease has hardened. I took both of mine out, soaked them parts cleaner and used Mobil synthetic grease to get them working again. I used the AIM to help out in removing the locks, rods and lock cylinder. For obvious reasons, the driver side lock takes more of a beating than the pass. side. Jerry

with Tampa Jerry. Exactly what I did. It is a little tricky to get the clips undone and reattached. If you can, take pictures. Dennis
