Can't wait until "WE" get a 360 degree Picture/view of this Finished Gem..
ALSO:
I want to be the first in line to get a "signed rendering" like, 1 of 500 in a 10x13 or bigger....

Maybe I could sell renderings (1 to 500) and sign them and get back 1/100 th of what it coast to build this bad boy. Full pic of the car will be posted after we get back from Amelia Island. I would rather everyone get to see the car in nice weather with everything Green and pretty then in the 6" + snow that we got last night at my place and at Brett's also. Jack, how much do you think I could charge for the renderings signed? Ha Ha Ha

I invited Black Magic George to come up for Bloomington Gold here in Indianapolis and he could come by and see the car in person. I am bot sure I may or may not take it to Corvette Funfest at Mid America. If they want to put it in a tent on display I may take it there. The NCM may get it in November till the first of May of 2016. We will see if that fits what they have in mind for it.

What talent!

The talent belongs to Brett or Vette Daddy here on the forum. He is the guy with all the talent and he knows how things need to be on the car. When you have restored as many Top Flight and Bloomington Gold Corvettes as he has restored then he is the guy with the talent. He not only knows what to do but he also knows what we need to make it happen and where to get all the things we need to make it happen and the people he needs to go to, to get things done also. This is the last car I will ever restore or build (I said that before) but if someone is looking for a car that they want restored or built you may want to consider Vette Daddy he is if not thee best I would put him up in the top 2 or 3 in the country who can build you a willing car. As for me I am like Shake and Bake if you are old enough to remember it I am the one that helped. I hope you all are enjoying the build of the Motorama Car that we are building. We are trying to make it as close to the original that GM built in late 1953 in order to have it for the 54 Motorama in NY. We are very close to finishing up the car, we just have to put the body on the frame and finish up putting a few more things on the car and it will be ready to go to Amelia Island. If any of you come to the Amelia Island Concourse Event in Jacksonville FI. please be sure to look us up and say Hi.

Mike's too modest. He helped more than you think. He can also lay up fiberglass as well as anyone.
Mike and I are two different people. He's wound tight as a fiddle and I'm as laid back as they come. He makes me nervous and I make him nervous. We (he) survived three years working together and with me and my quirks. Mike is one of the best friends a guy could have, and I don't claim to want very many.
I will tell you that this car was very well thought out and executed. There were no shortcuts of any type. There were many custom assemblies that were made for the car, which I had never done before but enjoyed doing very much.
I have another fastback to build for a friend in Canada and I can think of nothing that I would need to do different on the second Fastback build.
There was also a fine craftsman that doesn't like to be mentioned but he is invaluable. Not only is Steve a master engine builder, he also can do "anything" with skill and precision. My hat is off to him for his skill and friendship. He made the custom window trim that looks like GM did it, not to mention many other small fabrication jobs or us. For these things, we are thankful to have him in the "circle".
Here's to a beautiful car for Mike. He deserves it.

Well it sounds as if the two of you are a good working team....just wonder what the makeup of GM team was like in late 53' early 1954 as they were rushing to finish the Motorama car back then and did they work as well together
Keep the photos coming of assembly process. They are of interest to me to see how you are approaching the reassembly. Helps me to to plan (dream) of the reassembly of my 1954 down the road. Keep up the Great Work.

Engine was started and test run along with trans functions. Body drop Tuesday morning. Windshield installation Wednesday. Should be done this weekend with a few days to spare.

Congrats on the engine start! Do you get any sleep before you guys go to Florida? I hope you guys are awake when I come to see the car and ask all my stupid questions!

Jay, we're on the downslide now. Just need to be careful not to have any mis-steps.
Plenty of sleep after the windshield installation. Can't wait for Amelia. It will be nice to finally meet you!

I just sent a ton of pic and information to Black Magic and I am sure when he post it on the site he will let everyone on the Forum know about it. It was an outstanding day to see the body and the chassis come together as one. Kind of like being married.

WOW! It truly is a team effort that's coming to fruition quickly. Those teasing pictures by Black Magic sure feed the frenzy of what this completed project will look like in person.
Congratulations to you all on this one of a kind effort to duplicate the car. Attention to detail is rampant & justified.
Look forward to the unveiling.
Regards,
Jim
