anyone know how the proteam pricing codes work?
CC:1
CC:2
CC:1/+2 etc
there are a few cars i'd consider an offer on, but naturally the prices are way higher than i'm willing to consider - but i know there is room from previous experience buying from them -
ok, then there is another way that the sales guys know whether the pricing is firm or negotiable - i.e. price listed as $70,000 where as some others are listed as 69,995 - others were 69,997
I remember about 10 years ago when I bought my 64 L76 coupe - i asked about the price that was listed on the website - and the sales guy said something like - "i can tell if ends in 995 or 997 how much Terry is willing to move" etc.
That pricing paradigm is crap vis a vis negotiations.
Son of a used car dealer with decades in the biz. If you price the car a few bucks below some round number, it sticks in peoples minds as a lesser cost. E.g. $69,995 is in the "high 60s" and not $5 short of $70,000 if you catch my drift.
Fast forward to today. The vehicle that you're selling will show up in more web searches if you avoid the higher round numbers. E.g. "Show me all cars below $70,000", well, guess what, $69,995 will be right in there...
i actually emailed him this morning "while shopping online"
haven't heard back but i'd be more than ok buying from him.
thanks
You will. He is very meticulous. I was not a buyer but he still treated me like royalty when we stopped. His airplanes are fabulous as is his grass runway and showroom/hangar. ratdog bought a 67 from him and got a tremendous car and top notch service afterwards.
